ediTRACK & CGI partner to improve claims fulfilment
ediTRACK and CGI have joined forces to promote the ediTRACK Claims Fulfilment Solution to the insurance market. A cost effective pay-per-use, web-hosted application that manages; household, commercial property, private and commercial motor, public liability and personal injury lines of business.
The ediTRACK Claims Fulfilment Solution is the technology behind the highly regarded AXA 'Supplier Links' service used by numerous suppliers including; GAB Robins, Homeserve, Imperial, Chem-Dry, Cunningham Lindsey, Loss Management Group, Crawford & co, BeValued (Powerplay), Buckley Scott, HCML, VFM, Repairnet and Munters.

The growth of online services means that customers regularly swap and change their insurance providers. This has caused insurers to discount premiums heavily in order to win or retain business. There are also increased costs associated with settling claims which is having a major impact on insurer's profit margins.
The insurance industry is yet to take full advantage of online services to streamline the management of claims fulfilment. Most claims instructions are still issued to supplier partners via fax and email requiring re-keying of data, causing delays in claims handling and contributing to "friction costs". Claims operators have a limited view of a claim meaning they are unable to readily answer policy holder queries.
